Suparna Gupta has been a child rights practitioner for the last two decades.

She is the founder of Aangan, an Indian nonprofit that works on child rights, Mason Fellow, MPA from the Harvard Kennedy School, a Fellow at the Ash Center for Democratic Governance and Innovation at Harvard, and an Ashoka Fellow for Social Entrepreneurship. Most recently, Suparna became a trainer of Cognitively-Based Compassion Training (CBCT) from Emory University. Suparna has focused on models that build trust and dialogue between marginalized groups and local officials across the country, in order to address serious child harm—including trafficking, child marriage and hazardous labor. Her writing on these themes has been published by India Development Review, The Wire, and the Washington Post.

Deepika Khatri has been working in the development sector for over a decade.

She has worked as a journalist with India Today and in the development sector with Aangan, the Institute of Development Studies (UK), IT for Change, and Majlis. Her interests lie in child rights, improving governance, and understanding the linkages between social justice and wellbeing. She co-hosts a podcast, The CurioCity Collective, on wellbeing in Indian cities and how to embody it in everyday life. Her writing can be found in The Wire, Mad in Asia Pacific, and the Environment, Development and Sustainability Journal. She has a Bachelors in History from Lady Shriram College for Women, a PG Diploma in Social Communications Media from Sophia Polytechnic, and a Masters in Development Studies from the Institute of Development Studies, University of Sussex.

Ratna Gill is an advocate for child rights and racial justice.

She previously worked at the Institutional Antiracism & Accountability Project, a Harvard-based group focused on how to make organizations in the public, private, and nonprofit sectors more equitable for all employees. Ratna is the former Head of Communications & Advocacy at Indian child protection nonprofit Aangan, and served as the Collective Impact Coordinator at Living Cities, a New York City think-and-do-tank focused on racial justice and economic development. Ratna has certifications in Competency-Based Counseling and Fundamentals of Facilitation for Racial Justice and leads a publication called Social Sector Stories on finding and sustaining a fulfilling social change career. During her Masters in Public Policy at the Harvard Kennedy School of Government, she specialized in Social & Urban Policy. Ratna has a Bachelors of Arts in Economics from Harvard College. She has published about children’s and women’s rights in Ms. Magazine and India Development Review.

Persis Sidhva has been an Advocate for over a decade.

She represents women and children in cases relating to domestic violence and sexual abuse. Press practices in the Sessions Court, Family Court, and High Court in Mumbai. A graduate from Government Law College - Mumbai, sheconceptualised and managed a socio-legal programme for survivors of sexual abuse at a Mumbai-based NGO. At present, Persis is a Director at RATI Foundation. Persis takes a keen interest in training and advocacy. She has trained Judges, Police, Public Prosecutors, Medical Officers, Child Welfare Committees and NGOs across the country on laws relating to women and children. She has also assisted several organisations in formulating their policies on Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace and conducted trainings for employees and members of the Internal Complaints Committee. Her written work has been published in esteemed journals and portals including Economic and Political Weekly and The Wire.

Dr. Aparna Santhanam is a certified transformational life coach and holistic wellness expert.

Dr. Aparna Santhanam (MD, DNB) is a well-known dermatologist and holistic wellness expert, a strategic consultant and a best-selling writer who also works in the field of social development. Dr. Santhanam is a record score gold medalist from Mumbai University in Dermatology as well as a holder of Diplomate of the National Board (DNB), New Delhi. She is a fellow and certificate holder from Harvard Publishing in Social Development and Leadership as well as a trained coach from the Transformational Coaching Institute. She is a reputed writer and is the author of three best-selling books all published by Harper Collins. Dr. Santhanam is passionate about helping people live their best lives in a manner that is equitable, inclusive, calming, and peaceful.
